Support for parents

Leeds SENDIASS provides information and advice, for parents/carers, children, and young people with Special Educational Needs. ​​ Leeds SENDIASS is impartial, confidential, arm's length from the Local Authority and schools, free and accessible to all parents and carers of children with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities. SENDIASS also run parent workshops - information can be found here.

If you are considering a specialist provision for your child, SENDIASS provide information here about the range of options available. Children must have an EHCP to access the specialist provisions.

 

Leeds STARS (Autism support team) offered advice and support to parents in a number of different ways:
